Natural beauty and lush vegetation classified
Trsteno as the most beautiful of the
Dubrovnik Riviera towns. Trsteno is located 19 km from Dubrovnik. It is especially known for its arboretum, which is the oldest and most
beautiful Gothic-Renaissance Park on the
Adriatic coast. Trsteno is a very old village of captains and sailors, as evidenced by votive paintings in the parish church of St. Vid. The place is rich in natural and historical heritage with five chapels housing valuable works of famous painters.
Trsteno Arboretum features two well-known trees more than 500 years old. Unspoiled nature, small coves and quiet beaches are what Trsteno has to offer. The place is connected with
Dubrovnik by regular bus line running several times a day, the ride taking only about 20 minutes. The
Elaphiti Islands of Lopud, Koločep and Šipan are also easily accessible from Trsteno, so we recommend a
trip from Trsteno to the Elaphiti. There are no hotels in Trsteno,
accommodation is only possible in rooms and apartments offered by friendly locals and in a well-known Trsteno camp.
