 Important things you need to know if you are traveling by car to Dubrovnik, or you are renting a car: the crowds will possibly create problems with parking due to the limited number of parking spaces as close to the old town and in other parts of the city, so we suggest you check with the owner of your accommodation if you have secured parking space, especially if you will be located near the old town.
If you park the car improperly, park on a prohibited place, or do not pay parking is possible that you will not find a car where you parked it. Do not panic, the car was not stolen. Dubrovnik has a car service that is popular under the name "Spider" ("Pauk") that removes improperly parked cars, and transported them to a special (Gruz, the old bus station, located near the pool) where you can take your car, after paying a fine.
