Lastovo Islands
Nature Park "Lastovsko otočje" is the only natural park in the Dubrovnik area. Emphasized the beauty of small islands and bays, and it's a favorite destination for sailors. Nature Park Lastovo is the youngest of 11 Croatian nature parks. It includes 44 islands, islets and reefs, and largest are Susac and Lastovo. The island is 10 km long and 5.8 kilometers wide. Because of the lush vegetation, this beautiful island is called the Imperial Island. Because of its 46 secluded bays is a popular destination for sailors, and bays provide swimmers enjoying in the untouched nature and peace. On Lastovo are offered various opportunities for recreation and sport. You have a diving school; you can rent a bike and ride to the whole island, and for those who love walking and hiking paths are maintained.
From the entertainment there is a bay of St. Michael in which there is a cafe and a disco club. Is held in August Otočki ethno and rock festival, which included the famous artists who promote well music as well as the tourist destination for young people. This event is known as the Dalmatian Woodstock.
You can come to Lastovo in the following ways:
- By ferry from Split port, the journey takes 5 hours - By catamaran, trip takes 2 hours and 45 minutes.
